Know Your Mercy-Loving God

Main Idea: Jesus revels God's heart of mercy toward sinners.

3 scenes:

I. Jesus Calls Matthew the tax collector to repentance. V. 9

a. Every call of Jesus is a call to repentance

II. Jesus receives sinners and eats with them. (v. 10)

Do you see yourself as the chief of sinners? does that discourage you, or encourage you to fix your eyes on your merciful God and press in to know him more?

When you think about "sinners," what kind of people come to mind? What feelings/thoughts do you have about them? Do you feel/ think differently than Jesus?
