Home Fellowships

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

During the week we meet in small groups for group bible reading, book studies, prayer, and fellowship in several homes around the area.  This is a great way to get to know one another better, and to encourage one another as we explore God's word and apply the gospel to our lives.  Once a month we also set an evening aside for fellowship, service, or outreach. Each group has the opportunity to use the unique gifts God has given to serve one another, the church, and the community.  For more information or to get involved in a Home Fellowship near you, please contact the church office, or the group leader of the home nearest you:

Group Bible Reading

Group bible reading is an approach to bible study that requires no advance preparartion and allows lots of interaction.  We begin by reading a portion of text together, followed by several minutes of individual review using five questions:
What "shines" from the passage? What grabs your attention the most?
What is the main point of the passage?
What is difficult to understand? What questions would you like to ask God or the human author about the text?
What practical applications can you make to your life?
How can you see the gospel in this text?
We then spend the rest of our time sharing our responses, discussing, and praying through what God has revealed to us in his word.
