Oct 26, 2025    Sam Vendt

Main Idea: King Jesus proves that his power over Satan comes from the Holy Spirit, confirming that he is the Messiah who forgives all who trust in him.

1. Jesus' power restores what evil has ruined (vv. 22-23)

2. Jesus' power cannot come from Satan (vv. 24-26)

3. Jesus' power reveals God's kingdom: The true king is here (vv. 27-30)

4. Rejecting the Spirit's witness reveals hearts hardened beyond forgiveness (vv. 31-32)

5. Speech reveals the reality of the heart (vv. 33-37)

Suggested Passages: Psalms 1, 2; 2 Timothy 2; James 3; Colossians; 3; Ephesians 4

Questions to Consider:

- Why do you think Jesus emphasizes that every sin can be forgiven except one? What does that teach us about both his mercy and his seriousness?

- Jesus says a tree is known by its fruit. What fruit have you seen in your life recently that encourages you about God's work in you?

- When you think back on your speech this past week, what did your words reveal about your heart?
