Questions to Consider:
- How does the Gospel challenge both self-indulgence and self-righteousness?
- Jesus and John the Baptist were both criticized--for opposite reasons. What does this reveal about human resistance to God?
- What "religious expectations" or "social rules" have I absorbed that might actually keep me from listening to the wisdom of Christ?
