By Bread Alone... (The First Temptation)

By resisting Satan's first temptation, Jesus shows himself to be God's righteous Son, and he shows us the sufficiency of God in the face of our human desires.

1. Jesus was tempted uniquely as the Son of God.

2. Jesus was tempted as we are, as a human being.

3. Jesus triumph over Satan and sin both instructs us and saves us.
