God's fulfillment of God's Word

Main Idea: God fulfills his word as he sovereignly delivers Christ from the schemes of sinful men, so that He can deliver men from their sin.

1. Joseph obeys God's message to flee, fulfilling the deliverance of God's son from Egypt (vv. 13-15)

2. Herod disobeys God's call to worship, fulfillment the mourning of Rachel in Ramah (vv. 16-18)

3. Joseph obeys God's message to return, fulfillment the rejection of a Nazarene's reputation. (vv. 19-23)
