Kingdom Treasure

Main Idea: The kingdom of heaven is a treasure trove of joy for those who abandon themselves to it.

I.      The treasure of Christ’s kingdom is “everything as it should be.”

· Gem #1: Guilt erased (Rom. 5:1)

· Gem #2: Hostility removed (Eph. 4:32)

· Gem #3: Death defeated (2 Tim. 1:10, 2:8-9)

II.     Christ’s kingdom means absolute security. (1 Pet. 1:4)

III.    Christ’s kingdom means absolute satisfaction.

IV.   The treasure of Christ’s kingdom is worth everything you have (and are).

Questions to consider: 

·       Am I joyful?

o   Would others wonder about the reason for the hope that you have?  Does it show?

·       What do I value?

o   What do your calendar, spending, emotional energy, thought life suggest you value most right now?

·       Take out your pearl (Christ and his kingdom) and admire it:

o   What’s the best part about your future hope?

o   What’s the most beautiful thing about Jesus?
