Christ's Gifts To His Growing Church pt. 2

Main Idea: Our victorious Christ gives diverse gifts to every member of His body, the Church, to serve one another and grow together into Him.

1. The conquering and ascended Christ gifts every believer and gives enabling grace to use it. (vv. 7-10)

2. Christ gives leaders to the Church to equip the saints for serving and building up one another. (vv. 11-13)

3. Mutual service among the saints leads to maturity of the body. (vv. 14-16)

a. We mature so that we don't remain susceptible to lies. (v. 14)

b. We mature by speaking Christ's truth like Christ; in love. (v.15)

c. The Body grows as each part works properly as directed by Christ, the head. (v. 16)
