II. Rebellion must give way to the fruitfulness God intends.
III. Jesus’ resurrection guarantees the fruitfulness of his people and a glorious inheritance.
Questions to consider:
- Describe the difference between building the kingdom and stewarding the kingdom. How does this distinction affect the way we evaluate the church or an individual Christian’s ministry?
- In what ways might the church value its own comfort, security, reputation, or numeric growth over worship, holiness, and maturity? Which of these temptations is most difficult to recognize? What safeguards can help?
- What is one specific way you can keep coming to Christ, the living stone, and depend on him to produce fruit in your life this week?
